  1. Open the viewer

In Space Awareness choose the Mission orbit viewer view.

This page needs a free account.

    Open the page
  2. Choose the source of the orbit

Use Load OEM to read a CCSDS ephemeris file, Live Stream to follow a spacecraft in real time, or My Designs to take the orbit of one of your mission designs.

  3. Read the ground track

The Ground Track shows where the spacecraft passes. The summary gives altitude, inclination, period and eclipse figures.

  4. Check the passes

Pick the ground stations of the list, for example Kiruna, Kourou, Hartebeesthoek or Fairbanks. The Active Passes table gives each contact with its duration and maximum elevation. The Events list shows other events in the propagation.
