Team, roles and subsystems
Invite people, give each a role and decide which subsystems they can see and change. Roles and subsystems are yours to edit.
Open the Team tab
Open Team inside your study. It has the people, the roles and the subsystems. Only the systems engineer can change them. Everyone else can look.
This page needs a free account.
Invite a person
Enter the email and the name, choose a role and add the person. Someone who already has an account joins at once and is told by email. Someone without an account gets an invitation link by email, and you can send the link yourself too. Use Send again if it was lost.
Understand the three levels of access
A role can see and edit everything (systems), work on chosen subsystems, or look at everything and change nothing (view). A role that works on chosen subsystems edits some and may only look at others. People in it do not see the subsystems you leave out.
Add or change a role
Press Add a role, name it, pick the access and tick the subsystems it edits or looks at. Save the role. You can rename or remove any role, including the starting ones. Removing a role leaves its people without a role until you choose another.
Add or change a subsystem
The starting subsystems are Mission, Payload, Structure, Thermal, Electrical power, Attitude, On board computer, Communications, Propulsion, Ground and Integration. Press Add a subsystem to add your own, with a short code of 2 to 6 letters. Parts and requirements belong to a subsystem, and that decides who can change them.
Join with an invitation
If you were invited, open the link. Sign in, or create a free account first and open the link again, then press Join the study. You land in the study with your role.
- The owner cannot be removed from the study. Only the owner can delete it.
- A Reviewer role looks at everything and comments without changing anything. It suits a customer or a lecturer.
