My email: send from your own address
Set up your mailbox once. What you send to people from the platform then goes out from your address, and is kept in the CRM.
Open My email
In the CRM open Tools, then My email. A line at the top says whether your mailbox is ready.
This page needs a free account.
Fill in your mailbox
Give your name as the person should see it, your email address, the mail server (SMTP) that your provider gives you, the port and the security, the login and the password. The password is kept sealed and is never shown again, not even to an administrator. The server must be a public mail server: the platform refuses internal addresses.
Send yourself the test
Press Save, then Send a test message to me. Nothing goes out from your mailbox until the test message has reached you. If you change the server or the password, test again.
Choose what the assistant may read
The tick Let the assistant read what I send from here is yours to decide. When it is on, the assistant writes a short record of each message in the CRM and suggests next steps. It sees plain text only, has no tool to send or change anything, never sees your password and never reads the rest of your mailbox. Untick it and it reads nothing from you.
Send from a person’s page
Open a person or an organisation in the CRM and press Write an email. The message is written as plain text, goes out from your address, and appears in the history. There is a daily limit, which an administrator can change in Settings.
- Proposals and invoices do not go out from your address. They go out from the address of the accountant.
