0 of 5 steps done
  1. Open the References tab

Open References in your study. It lists the ECSS standards, the ITU decision on filing charges and the notice on space debris that the study is aligned with. Each one shows its edition, its number of pages and what it is used for.

This page needs a free account.

    Open the page
  2. Pick the part of the work you are on

Use the buttons at the top, such as Phases and reviews, Requirements or Budgets and margins, to see only the pages that help with that work.

  3. Open a document at the right page

Each line gives the pages to read, the clause and what you find there. Press the pages, for example pages 21 to 28, and the document opens at the first of them in your browser’s PDF viewer.

  4. Download a document

Press Download to get the file from its publisher. You can also save it from the PDF viewer. The page numbers are the ones printed on the pages. For the files that come with a checksum, the page shows it so you can check your copy.

  5. Find the pages where you work

A box called Where to read sits at the top of the requirements, the objectives, the phases, the budgets and the cost and plan screens. It gives the pages for that screen only. The Market rates tab links each ITU amount to its page.

Good to know
  • The standards are free to download but are not copied on the platform, because ECSS does not allow copies without the consent of ESA. The links always open the publisher’s own file.
  • The text of ISO 24113 is sold by ISO. The References tab links to the free ECSS notice that lists what ECSS changes in it.
  • The report ends with a chapter of references, so a printed report carries the pages too.
